NY Times Features Goodwill Outfit Giveaway
On December 5th and 6th Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey distributed free outfits to unemployed individuals looking for work in the New York/New Jersey area. Suits were given to the job-seekers at Goodwill’s 37 stores. The offer was limited to one outfit per participant. Mauricio Hernandez, Goodwill’s senior vice president of Retail Sales, reported that 569 men and women benefited from the giveaway. See coverage of the event in the New York Times.
