Vocational Evaluation
This program provides comprehensive testing and evaluation to determine vocational strengths, limitations, work readiness and overall direction. Using the results of the evaluation, Goodwill counselors help participants develop individual plans.

Supported Employment
Supported Employment works to find competitive employment positions for people with severe disabilities. Once on the job, Goodwill provides one-on-one job coaching to help each individual become as independent as possible to succeed. Goodwill’s Supported Employment Division works with many disability types. These include persons with mental retardation, development disabilities, mental illness, visual impairment, hearing impairment and many others.

Assisted Competitive Employment
This supported employment program provides a job coach and other support services to individuals with mental illness, helping them earn the opportunity to work in a competitive employment workplace.

Community Support Services
These services allow individuals with serious and persistent mental illness the opportunity to experience a work environment without the pressure of competitive demands. Available in Astoria, NY.

Creative Recovery Program (CDT)
For individuals with serious and persistent mental illness this Clinical Continuing Day Treatment program utilizes drama, dance, movement, poetry and cognitive therapies along with medication management, individual and group therapy, community outings, vocational exploration and goal-setting. The program is linked to other Goodwill services, which allows for easy movement between programs.

Bronx Assertive Community Treatment Program (ACT)
This program provides comprehensive treatment to severely and chronically mentally ill persons who do not respond to traditional approaches. A team including a psychiatrist, nurse and social worker provide services at the clients’ homes.

Adult Self-Help Program (ASH)
For persons with a psychiatric disability, this mental health consumer-run program in the South Bronx provides weekly recreational, educational, computer and advocacy support services. Supplementary services include a Saturday "Double Trouble in Recovery" group program for people with mental illness and substance abuse.

Queens Peer Advocacy Leadership Program
This consumer-run mental health program encourages the development of independent living skills, helping individuals learn self-advocacy and how to access community-based resources.

Citiview Connections Clubhouse
For individuals with mental illness, especially those who are homeless. Citiview Connections is a psychosocial clubhouse program located in Long Island City. It provides vocational, social, recreational and educational programs. The clubhouse also offers temporary employment opportunities for members who would like the chance to work part-time without the stress of permanent employment.

Seamark Center Clubhouse
Located in South Brooklyn this participant-driven psychosocial clubhouse program provides vocational, social, recreational and educational programs for individuals with mental illness. Temporary employment is available for members who would like to work part-time in a competitive environment.

Work Adjustment Training
This program teaches the basic interpersonal and work skills that one must have in order to obtain and retain employment. Clients receive work experience in Goodwill’s production area, retail stores and at other community-based nonprofit organizations.

Extended Rehabilitation Services
These services offer participants the opportunity to gain work experience and earn money in Goodwill’s on-site industries – contributed goods, industrial contracts and porter/maintenance – while receiving case management services.
